‘Best Man Dead Man’ Starring ‘Hit Man’ Actor Molly Bernard Lands Rights Deal Ahead Of Festival Debut – First Look Trailer

The film, directed by Verner Maldonado, is set to premiere at Dances with Films next week.

Bernard stars in the pic as an eccentric private eye who is called on to solve a mysterious murder during a bachelor party when the best man ends up with a knife in his head and everyone becomes a suspect. Jack Ireland, who is also a producer, rounds out the ensemble with David Gridley, James Heaney, Leah Kilpatrick, Ben Fernandez, Jonny Cruz, Dayana Rincon, Matt Ippolito, Atul Singh, and Kimberley Crossman.

The screenplay was written by Matthew Schlissel, who created the Fox animated series Grimsburg, starring Jon Hamm. Ireland produced alongside Matt Ippolito, Verner Maldonado, Brandon Kraus, Matthew Schlissel, Tina Dazo, and Molly Bernard. BMDM Productions in association with Kraus Capital and SecondNature are the production companies.

Carlos Rincon, Premiere’s SVP of Acquisitions, negotiated the deal with Ireland, Ippolito, and Kraus.
